On Instagram (I really might need an intervention for my Instagram addiction at some point…), I discovered a Me Made May challenge. It has a few hashtags for the event (#memademay, #memademay2015, #mmmade2015) but the event encourages people to wear their handmade items during the month of May. (Here is the official sign up.) At first, I tried to ignore the event. I was concerned I didn’t have enough handmade things and there would be a LOT of selfies involved. I did not want to “stage” pretty selfies for an entire month. But my friend, Meighan, inspired me to try and just keep it “real life”. So, here it goes…
I, Sandi (www.craftyplanner.com), sign up as a participant of Me Made May 2015. I endeavor to wear a me-made garment at least 4 days a week. I will chronicle the outfits on instagram and keep it “real”.
Here are the outfits I have worn so far:
My first Bess Top
An unblogged muslin for a tank (pattern can be found in the Magic Pattern Book by Amy Barickman). I will be journaling more about this book later this month.
Here are a few blog posts I have found about this year’s event.
enabler connector, Meighan O’Toole
Grainline Studio (I really want to try their Tiny Pocket Tee)
Crafting a Rainbow (who is sewing from patterns around the world!!!)
Are you participating? What would you like to make?
