Podcast Episode #55: Brandon Mably

Brandon Mably on the Crafty Planner podcast

When I was looking for fabric for my first quilt, I discovered a local store stocked with fabrics designed by the Kaffe Fassett Studio collective including Kaffe, Brandon Mably and Philip Jacob. I fell in love with the vibrant and watercolory prints of each of the designers. After recording my podcast with Kathy Doughty, we started talking about the designers who inspire us to explore color. Brandon immediately came to mind. Here are some examples of his work:

Living in London, England, Brandon Mably designs more than fabric. He also designs knitwear for Rowan Yarns and Vogue Knitting. His color exploration challenges makers to explore beyond the color wheel and trust your instincts about pleasing color combinations. During my podcast with Brandon, we talk about his instinctive use of color, how he never stops learning and his positive and inspiring perspective on life.
