YAY! I did it! And with few exceptions, I wore something I or another maker made! While I dislike the “selfie” component to the challenge (and had a few headless pictures!), I appreciated the push to get dressed up on the days I would usually sew in my pjs. (Ummm… great idea for next May! Me Made Pajamas!)
So what did I learn?
- I want to spend more time working on the fit of my garments. Often, I go for comfort but I also feel a MILLION times better when a garment fits me well.
- I am old enough to wear what I want! I LOVE Anna Maria Horner fabrics. So I bought a piece of her new Mod Corsage fabric and made myself yet another Esme Tunic from Lotta Jansdotter’s Everyday Style book. (Here is my first version here!)
- It is good to challenge myself and enjoy the process! Sometimes it takes three muslins to get it right (see my post on my Three’s a Charm Jacket!). I learn something every time I make a muslin though. Enjoy the learning process…
Here are a few things I made:

I am already thinking about next year!
