Today’s podcast guest is Sarah Fielke. As a quilter, self proclaimed applique lover, teacher, author, pattern and fabric designer living in Australia, Sarah has an unique perspective on the quilting industry. Even though she learned to quilt and sew at a young age, she dedicated herself to quilting after the birth of her children. Moving on from selling baby items at her mommy groups to co-owning a store to now teaching all over the world, Sarah’s journey is inspiring.
As part of the ongoing Mighty Lucky Quilting Club series, we talk about her design challenge to make applique blocks inspired by pieced blocks, her passion for quilt history, moving on from Material Obsession and what she would do if she had a day free of obligations. I hope you enjoy the episode.
