My latest Designer Profile for Love Patchwork & Quilting magazine is on Kerry Goulder of Kid Giddy. Living in Maine, Kerry is a pattern designer, Sizzix die designer, author teacher, wife and mother. She also is the source of a hilarious meeting at Quilt Market. I remember standing towards the end of the convention center and watching this very tall (at least to my 5′ 6″ self) woman walking my direction. She introduced herself and I’m sure I said something completely embarrassing about how gorgeous and tall she is. (See photo documentation below!) Graciously, she laughed and we started talking.
When it was time for our magazine interview, I was “giddy”. We chat about her creative journey as a mom creating for her children to designing for Anna Griffin to creating her own interchangeable Sizzix dies. She talks about falling in love with three dimensional design, conquering sewing fears and making time to create. She is a fun person and I am grateful at the chance to share her story.
Issue 49 of Love Patchwork & Quilting is now available in the United States or online. You can also subscribe to the magazine here.
