Although Halloween is not a big holiday for me, I LOVE the Guising line of fabric by Lizzy House. (photo by fabric worm)
It seemed natural to make a mini quilt using spiderweb blocks with the Guising. Using this tutorial by Sew Mama Sew, I cut different size strips of fabric. (Am I the only one who gets nervous cutting into “precious” and “hoarded” fabrics???) I also added in the orange/brown/red awards print from Lizzy House along with a brown floral print from Meadowsweet by Sandi Henderson. The strip piecing takes a bit as I tend to be retentive about not putting colors together and mixing sizes and … yeah, you get the picture. A toddler also decided to abscond with my foot peddler a few times so the process took longer. However, I LOVE the final result!!
Am I the only one who loves pearl bracelets as a binding? Actually, pearl bracelets are one of my favorite blender prints.
Kelly is also hosting a Halloween Quiltalong. So tag any of your Halloween quilts with #mybooqal!!
