Mighty Lucky April Podcast : Alison Glass

Alison Glass on the Crafty Planner podcast

Have you enjoyed the last three months of Mighty Lucky podcasts? I enjoyed my lessons in bias tape from Krista Fleckenstein, improv piecing from Season Evans and using color from Rossie Hutchinson. April’s designer is Alison Glass.

Living in Virginia, Alison is a wife, mother, author, fabric and pattern designer. With her motto to “live in the new”, Alison explores traditional quilting and sewing principles like batik dying and applique and introduces them to the modern world. Here are a few of her designs:

For Alison’s design challenge, she demonstrates three ways of using a personal photograph to inspire a pieced quilt. I can not wait to challenge myself. During our podcast, we talk about her creative journey, how she designs fabric and why sewing is important to her. I hope you enjoy the episode.
