Most women wear a bra. I wear a bra. Bras are sewn objects. And I love to sew. Yet the idea of making an everyday item like a bra can be terrifying. In a recent episode of the Great British Sewing Bee, the one item feared by the contestants was a bra. Enter Norma Loehr of Orange Lingerie.
Motivated by the desire to make well fitting and gorgeous bras, Norma trained with Beverly Johnson and started making custom bras. Eventually, she decided to demystify bra making process through her book and two bra patterns (the Marlborough and Boylston bras).
During our podcast, we talk about the misconceptions about bra making, how to take care of your lingerie and tips for making your first bra.
